Downloading WordPress for Windows for Free: Everything you Need to Know

First Step: Download a Server Package

To get started, you’ll need to download a server package that enables you to run WordPress on your Windows device. We recommend using the XAMPP server package, which includes the Apache web server, MySQL database management system and the required PHP software.

To download XAMPP, visit their website here. Once there, click on the latest version for your desired operating system. When the download is complete, double-click the setup file and run the installation.

Second Step: Download and Install WordPress
